Another mad wagon! (this one is a looker not a go fast scare you silly one)

This lady's and gentleman is another new mad wagon. Unlike the other's it's not exactly going to go flying past you. It actually has a quite small engine for it's styling. With it's aggressive styling don't let it it fool you, it's a looker.

On to the engine, err it's a 1.6-Liter Turbo charged Flat four. . .
It also has a lithium-ion battery to run on electric power only. . .
It is all-wheel drive though! Finally something good. This car kinda fast, but for it's styling it's much, much to slow. The concept's design language both inside and out is believed to preview the forms and styles of the next generation of Subaru's models, though don't expect to see the scissor-style front doors on a production model any time soon.

In my opinion this thing looks great. A lot of people complain's it looks to much like an Audi, I still personally like the looks. The power train on the other hand is a joke for this styling language. To sum this wagon up it would be a great wagon if it had a bigger engine.

Europe has gone Wagon mad!!

Lately Europe seems to be going wagon crazy. First the Jaguar XF sport brake and now the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG black series estate. There a mouth full to say aren't they. When you think about it Buick Roadmaster isn't easy to say either.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's start with the Jaguar XK sportbrake shown above. The new XK sportbrake is here to replace the ill-fated X-type sportwagon which stopped production in 2009. If i can give this car anything, it looks heck of a lot nicer then the X-type did. What's really interesting here though is only the back has camo on it. It also has a sign sponsoring the car on it. With or without camo it's a dead give away what it is. So i guess they thought it wasn't worth it.

The new car XK sportbrake will have a range of engines. From the the slow nice diesel, to the nuts V8. The 2.2Liter 190HP turbodiesel is the smallest and most frugal. The largest is a 510HP turbo-charged V8 so you can fly past base stock 911's.

In my opinion as long as you buy the V8 this is a nice car. Looks great, * supposedly* drive's well, has great reliability, wait that's not right. To sum this car up as long as they can make it more reliable and efficient it'll sell fine.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black series is a bit different. The Jaguar is designed to haul the family some stuff and have some fun. This one is designed to do all of those, faster much much faster. Like rip your face off faster. Make your daughter in the back scream her head off fast, and fall out of her seat when you hit a corner.

How can this station wagon meet this incredible speed? Well the simple answer is a 6.2Liter V8 with -->>-->>517HP<<--<<-- and 457lb-ft. Whoa. It's an increase of 63HP over the normal AMG model. To help you go faster quicker the 7-speed dual-clutch AMG Speedshift transmission that power 19in alloys.

In the nerdy enthusiast's news the wagon also comes with upgraded suspension, wider front and rear tracks to improve handling, a new aerodynamic kit that includes stand out front and rear bumpers, different side skirts, flared wheel arches that are home to much larger wheels.

This car is an absolute mad man. You can drive like your in a C63 AMG coupe while hauling your kids! That's epic! It's not cheap, but epic! I always think this is Mercedes saying to Cadillac with the CTS-V, you know your place stay there.(I dis-agree with Mercedes here) To sum this car up it's every thing you want in a car, except it's MPG numbers

Hello Golf!

Say hello to the new Golf! The VW Golf is exactly what a hatchback is supposed to be. Roomy, Fast, handles well, has room in the back. The current model was released in 2009, so it does seem to be a bit early to already be working on a new one in public. Power train changes are expected in the new model also. Read below..

The current power train is going to be changed(obviously). The 2.5L inline 5-cylinder that isn't the best ever will be replaced by the 1.8L turbo-charged inline 4-cylinder. Very good idea.. The rest of the car has remained a good secret.

* opinionated paragraph*
This car as we already know is a good car, obviously going to be made better. The problem is though VW didn't let the current one get out and going before replacing it in 2013. To sum it up this is going to be released way to early, good or bad we'll have to wait until 2013.

New Euro Spec Toyota GT-86

To start of this looks, well not like the concept.  The FT/GT-86 is what you get when Toyota and Subaru get together, of course the Subaru one is more Die hard then the Toyota seeing that the Toyota is a Toyota... The Toyota one also has a North American Scion brother. All three cars will share the same platform and mechanical hardware including the Subaru-sourced flat-four, with only minor styling differences between them.

The new FT/GT-86 comes with Subaru's 2 Liter Four Cylinder boxer engine with Toyota's new D-4S direct injection. The engine makes a small 197BHP and 151.2lb-ft. So over, it's not very fast but it can move when you put the pedal down. moving on the car rides on 17inch wheels but with the JDM model it rides on 18 inch wheels. I can already see mod company's changing that...
On the Interior the dash-board get's a carbon-effect trim, all black roof lining, red stitching on the upholstery, aviation style rocker switches, and lightweight aluminium pedals.

Toyota has also stated that the car has an almost perfect 53:47 weight distribution. It also has a very low center of gravity, just 475mm. The GT-86 is also equipped with switchable vehicle stability control systems, which Toyota also claims "have been tuned specifically to deliver dynamic stability at the limit of the car’s performance with minimal electronic intervention to help preserve the purity of the driving experience".

* opinionated paragraph*
Over all i don't like this car much. Compared to the Subaru BRZ concept it's just to layed back for me. I'd perfer all the crazy Wings and rims of the BRZ over the bland and nothingness of the FT/GT-86. It's also a bit slow and under-powered for my liking. To sum up this car up, it's Toyota failing at trying to be cool.

Bye Maybach, and all the stupidity that came with you

We all know the Maybachs are just ridiculus tuned Merc S-Class with a new logo. There rubbish, over priced and ugly. Very stupid of you to buy one. Finally Daimler pulled the plug on the darn thing. Maybach was in a sense a good idea gone wrong. Mercedes got the idea of bringing back the retro brand after seeing success from VW with the bettle, BMW with mini and Fiat with the 500. So why not bring the brand back? Good idea, but the made a mess of it.

Now, finally after a decade of Maybach the Maybach 57 and 62 are leaving the market. Daimler is ready to accept defeat and stop producing the $350,000 luxury limousine when the next generation of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class hits the market in 2013.“It would not make sense to develop a successor model”, Daimler Dieter Zetsche said in an interview with German daily Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. “The coming S-Class is in such a way a superior vehicle that it can replace the Maybach.”

Mercedes thought the car would sell much better then it really did. They predicted 2000 sales annualy. Amazing the were dead on with 1000 of them being sent to America. Considering that in 2004, Maybach's best year, it sold only 244 cars in the U.S., Daimler’s decision to shut down the brand in 2013 and concentrate on Mercedes-Benz’s flagship S-Classdidn’t come a moment too soon.

Over all i think Maybach was a good idea but it wasn't executed correctly. The styling and the price of the thing was ridiculous! To sum things up over all Maybach was a failure compared to Bentley and Rolls Royce.

Now in this paragraph well talk about how it changes the car!(or the blog) Over all it will be the same thing, but more informative and easier to read for you pleasure!

Here well put any other nerdy stuff that's in the car.

Then i'll give my opinion and sum up of the car! Over all i think this will work great. Please give me some feedback on what you think.

(Photo Gallery goes below like normal)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Moving on i plan on doing some more new stuff. For example every Sunday i'll be releasing a blog called " Blast from the past! (Car's name)"

In the Car's name spot i'll put the name of the car being featured. To be featured, the car had to be important when it came out but has slipped away from popularity. For Example, The Chevrolet SSR would the the perfect car for the article. "Blast from the past" Will be in an upcoming page up top.

Also soon well have a competition for the Concept car of the year! We'll have a big vote over to our left and a new page above the has info on all the cars. The winner will be the Car Driver America concept car of the year!

Cool huh? Leave feed back in the comments below or follow us to the left.

Ever heard of a Ferrari designed designing a Chrysler? Fiat says yes

I agree with them, who doesn't like the way Ferrari's look? I mean really!

Don't expect to be buying a California with a Crossfire badge(That would be so cool!) though, it's not a re-badgeing operation. Sergio Marchionne knows this isn't just another swap the badge operation(which is probably why he's doing it) That’s why Marchionne, who is determined to merge the two groups into one efficient, profit-making organization, is pulling out all the stops in his effort to make Chrysler and sister company Lancia successful, with a goal of doubling their combined annual sales by 2014. Ramaciotti understands his mission perfectly: “We don’t want to do pure badge-engineering; it has never worked well in the long run. We should be global in sharing platforms and strategies without dulling the product line.” “We are trying to find an international language, which could have a place both here in Italy and in the U.S.,” Ramaciotti said in an interview in Turin. “If you put all the models into the showroom, they must fit together. It’s a delicate problem.”
According to Ramaciotti, the Chrysler-Lancia tie-up is going to be the exception, rather than the rule, in the group. The rest of the brands, including Dodge, Jeep, Alfa Romeo and Maserati, will retain their unique American or Italian identities, no matter where they're made or sold.

Sounds good for Chrysler/Lancia. Now let's hope the plan works.

Here's some pictures of the Chrysler/Lancia and Sergio Marchionne's cars.

New Chevrolet Malibu MPG figures out, nice price also.

This as we all know is the New Chevrolet Malibu Eco. Although it won't be hitting the showrooms to early next year Chevy is trying to get the public excited about the new Malibu.

This is easily, the most fuel efficient Malibu. . . ever. A 2.4L Ecotec 4-cylinder and a sixspeed auto bring 180HP. More then the current version. This is the first vehicle to receive GM's e-assist mid-hybrid tech that uses a lithium-ion battery AND a electric motor-generator. The electric motor-generator enables start-stop technology, electric assist and regenerative braking. very nerdy.

GM estimates the new Malibu Eco will get 26mpg city and 38mpg highway. Also did i mention it cost $29,995?

Look at these stats and decide for yourself if you would buy one.

  • 2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid – $29,395 / 36 mpg
  • 2012 Volkswagen Passat TDI SE Diesel (with automatic) – $27,895 / 40 mpg
  • 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid – $26,660 / 39 mpg
  • 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid – $26,545 / 40 mpg

Refreshed Ford Mustang shown before the LA auto show.

Said it before, i'll say it again, I'm a big fan of muscle cars, but not really the Mustang.

So here's the new Mustang. Sadly it's just a refresh to the current model. On the exterior front not much has changed. It does look more aggressive I'll give it that. Other wise there's a new grill (all models), front end splitter,  working hood extractors on the GT model, body colored rocker panels, new tail lamps and a glossy Mustang logo.

On to the boring complicated stuff, The standard headlights use HID (high intensity discharge) with LED's. Doesn't really sound muscly... but okay. Also in the rear the Mustang get's the iconic 3 bar design.

The interior hasn't exactly changed much. The biggest change is a 4.2in LCD screen operated via steering wheel mounted 5-way button. Why couldn't they just have a touch screen?

Under the hood the classic Muscle car 5.0 V8 has been changed! It now makes 420hp! The engineers at Ford learned a think or two from the Boss 302 I see. The new Mustang also has "SelectShift 6 speed automatic transmission" which allows the driver to shift gears manually on a button on the side of the shifter and won't up shift until it reaches the Rev limiter. Why not just get a manual if you want to shift it yourself? I ask myself questions like this a lot.

The 2013 Ford Mustang will make it's Motor Show debut at the LA auto show this week and reach US showrooms in Spring 2012.

New pictures of the Corvette C7!

Article written by Yahoo's Justin Hyde

There’s no American sports car that ignites more passions than the Chevrolet Corvette. Here’s Exhibit A: the most detailed renderings yet of the next-generation Vette, caught and released by Jalopnik today, which says they’ve been verified as resembling the top-of-the-line ZR1 not due to hit the streets until 2014.

No vehicle carries the banner of American sports cars quite like the Vette. General Motors has only produced six full redesigns of the Corvette since its introduction in 1953, and every model has held true to the original’s template of a two-seat, fiberglass-bodied speedster powered by a Chevrolet V8. In recent years, the Corvette has become a road racing champion, even as sales have faltered due to an aging platform.

While some Vette fans hearken for a return to the split-window Stingray years or a mid-engine layout that would truly punch Ferrari in the schnoz, GM often plays conservative with the Corvette. This design of the so-called C7 update caught in the Jalopnik renderings seems safely in the mold of the current model — until you start examining the details, from the brace of scoops around the car to the rear featuring Camaro-style taillights and quad exhausts that wouldn’t look out of place on a Pagani.

Already the drawings have boiled up a debate about whether the new Vette is borrowing too many cues from too many other sports cars, arguments that won’t be truly settled until GM debuts the actual car at the 2012 Detroit auto show.
