The Ford Flex has been anything but a success for Ford, But the Detroit based company                         is taking another shot at it with this new model to premiere  at next week's Los Angeles auto show.

Outside the flex says goodbye to the current razor blade grill and says hello this new shiner grill with some new headlights to go along with it. It also now features a sleeker low air vent design, But the most obvious new feature is the Oval Blue Ford logo with only a Flex logo. The standard dual exhaust and available rear appliqué, along with a refreshed pallet of colors and alloy wheel designs sum up the exterior changes.

Moving on to the interior the 2013 Ford Flex has a re-designed dashboard, and the latest version of Ford's My touch system. It also comes with two 4.2 inch screens in the cluster of instruments and a 8inch screen in the center stack.  It also comes with a re-designed steering wheel and seat trim.

The new model year brings  an updated version of Fords Naturally aspirated 3.5 V6 engine that benefits from a new twin independent variable camshaft  timing (Ti-VCT). The V6 is now rated at 285 HP and 255 IB. -ft, an increase of 23 HP and 13 ib-ft respectively from the old car.

Ford says the new Flex 3.5L is projected to is projected to make 1mpg better fuel economy. Not very impressive.  The fuel economy is rated at 18mpg city and 25 mpg highway.

Finally Ford has a new optional appearance package. The appearance package is only on the Limited and SEL models.  It includes Two tone roof and mirrors, 20inch alloys, Leather seats, Unique door trim and other interior upgrades.
