The Dodge Challenger is the essence of what a muscle car should be. Poor handling, Really heavy , stands out in a crowd and a giant powerful v8. Well on the new Dodge Challenger SRT-8 392 Yellow Jacket it has even more power, and stands out even more in it's bright stinger yellow with matching color profile stripes. On the rear fender a big Yellow Jacket logo takes the cake. Some new 20inch rims also help make it stand out in a crowd of Mustangs and Camaros.

On to the interior while sadly, well have to wait until the LA auto show to see pictures. Dodge says that the Challenger SRT-8 yellow jacket will get standard leather including a stinger yellow accent band with embroidered yellow jacket logo and silver accent stitching.

"The Challenger SRT8 392 Yellow Jacket adds another piece of performance car nostalgia to our rear-drive muscle coupe lineup in 2012," said Ralph Gilles, President an CEO of the SRT brand and motor sports. The stinger yellow paint and interior accent speak directly at muscle car enthusiasts who appreciate classic american muscle that helps bring even more excitement and exclusivity.

Standard power for the Dodge Challenger SRT-8 392 yellow jacket is a 6.4l HEMI V8 that is rated at 470 hp and 470 lb, -ft of torque. This means it really can compete with higher level Shelby's and ZL1's now.

Dodge says that a limited number of Yellow Jackets will be made but, the car will arrive in showrooms in the show rooms some time in the first quarter or 2012. As all Challenger's it will only be sold in the US market.
